Sports "Medals".

With a strong sense of national devotion and glorification through Sport, Athletics and "Mass Games" the DPRK has created many sporting awards. Many of which are sold as "Medals" but they aren't actually referred to as such. They can probably seen more like "Prizes" or a more durable "Rosette".

Firstly we have "National Athletics Championships" (종목별체육경기대회) awarded by the Ministry Of Physical Education (체육성). This large "Medal" is constructed of aluminium and the design features a trophy. Probably dating from the late 1980's.

Here is one for "The Championships Of The Republic" (공화국선수권대회) which shows an athlete carrying a book of Kim Il Sung (김일성) and a Juche torch of "Athletic Principles" (주체체육) by a banner stating "Folklore Ceremony And Athletics" (체육의전민화). The reverse states "Let Us Continue With The Policy In Specialisation Of Athletics!" (체육의 전문화 방침을 관철하자!) and is awarded by The Committee For Physical Education Of Korea (조선체육지도위원회).
