Gentlemen,

First time I see this medal converted to a five-sided suspension. The star looks like current Russian issue. The owner had to drill a hole in the suspension to attach it.

Looks like they used a Defense of Moscow Ribbon for the suspension?

No, I think it's a foreign ribbon, but it's not the original ribbon for this medal.

Damn.. your right! I never noticed that. Good thing that I paid under $5.00 for it!

At under $5 it's a terrific price. I think wrong ribbon does not diminish it's value. If a veteran could not find a correct replacement ribbon for his foreign award he might have used one from a Soviet medal, that would be similar in color and design.
