DPRK Ribbon Bars.
An impressive north korean ribbon bar.
1st row: Order of the 20th anniversary of DPRK, Order of National Flag 3 class, Soldier´s Honor medal. 2nd and 3rd row: Military Merit medal. I assume this belonged to an NCO or a junior Lt.

Re: North Korean militaria (uniforms)
I think (but I know that new ressources were published on the subject and I haven't those ressources...) that the third ribbon is called Military Service Honor Medal, and the last ones are Meritious Service Medals.
I don't think that the wearer of this bar is of such a junior rank, he has certainly a long career behind him. May be a senior nco or a captain. I don't known much (if anything) about the attribution of the different medals and orders, but the combination is interesting, the Military Merit Medal seems much more frequent than the Meritious Service. |

Re: North Korean militaria (uniforms)
Kliment,
I think that if it were for a higher rank officer would have at least two more National Flags from classes II and III. the number of MSs makes me think that he/she was a NCO with a long service -just like you say- and/or outstanding political readiness, since he was awarded the 20th anniversary order.
