Here is the Exemplary Armed Service Medal (စစ်မှုထမ်းကောင်းတံဆိပ်) which was a federal award of the Socialist Republic Of The Union Of Burma (ပြည်ထောင်စုဆိုရှယ်လစ်သမ္မတမြန်မာနိုင်ငံတော်). This would mean it dates from between 4th January 1974 and 23rd September 1988.
A very nice enamelled two piece constructed from brass. Unfortunately let down by the poor pin device. 52x52mm in size (slightly bigger than the Soviet OPW). The design is of the emblem of the Armed Forces Of The Socialist Republic Of The Union Of Burma which is somewhat similar to the current design (shown) and also of neighbouring (and also former British colony) Indian Armed Forces.
