During this period he was wounded three times. He was treated at the casualty clearing station of Field Evacuation Point nr. 22 for his wound.

From 1944 to February 1945 he worked as a senior waggoner. During this entire period comrade Golovchenko kept the horse stable in an exemplary state, the horses in above average condition and the harnessry and wagons in running order.

Moreover, comrade Golovchenko looked after the wounded soldiers and officers. In the rooms where comrade Golovchenko worked there was exemplary order.

From February to April 1945 comrade Golovchenko served at the front, and while carrying out combat missions he received multiple head wounds, after which he once again returned to Evacuation Point nr. 22 to recover.

Despite his wounds comrade Golovchenko started working again and brought the horse stable in an exemplary state. The horses were cleaned every day and the wagons and harnessry were kept in running order.
