Short, concrete description of personal combat feat or merits:

He is self-sacrificing and disciplined. Working in front and major railroad sectors of the 1st Belorussian Front and other fronts, he saved a number of troop and cargo trains. His train nr. 699 95 at high speeds succesfully delivered railroad cars. At Valuiki Station on July 2, 1943 he led a train with food product away from the attacks of 40 enemy aircraft. On July 30, 1944 at Molchanovo Station he successfully drove a train with ammunition during an enemy artillery bombardment to Dovzhanki Station, preventing the trains from being destroyed.

When delivering special trains to the front line of the 1st Belorussian Front, his locomotive the entire time takes the first place in the train column as regards technical condition. In the Warsaw-Kutno-Poznań sector he drove six trains ahead of schedule.

Great piece of research, and a very interesting citation. I am surprised the recommendation was downgraded.
