Mosin Nagant sling

I am searching for a (pre) war dated Russian Mosin Nagant sling. Is there a difference between a Russian (pre) war dated sling and a post war dated sling (except of a possible dated stamp)? On EBay I see a lot of Mosin Nagant slings for sale but I have heard that many of these slings are Polish or Hungarian post war variants. Can anyone tell me how to recognize a (pre) war dated Russian sling.

The slings on my nagants are this "dog-collar" style, but are post-war dated (1950s). Not sure if the dog-collar style was used earlier.

I have heard that ppsh slings were used on nagants though during the war.

I can't find dates on any of my slings

But a 1928 91/30, a 1938 M38 carbine, and a 1944 M44 came with dog collar types and a 1943 91/30 and a 1935 91/30 came with these metal loops in the sling slots, the former with a leather, very un-russian looking sling which may be lend lease. (Close ups of that)
I think the answer may be "Whatever was available"

The leather one has holes like the sling for the M-1 Garand -- is the rest of the sling like a M-1 sling too (can't see in the pic)?

Mosin Nagant rifle sling

Thanks for your replies everybody. I got a very comprehensive answer from a collector from the Ukraine. Hereby I will publish his answer. Maybe it can be interesting for some of you.
In his opinion Soviet war dated and post war dated Mosin Nagant rifle slings are exactly the same. They are made of green or khaki (yellow/brown) colored webbing with brown leather dog collars. The Mosin Nagant rifle sling for the Soviet navy is almost the same as the army variant only it is made of black leather with brown leather dog collars. Both rifle slings have no holes. The rifle sling is almost providing with a Soviet army stamp. Only this stamp can say or it is a war or post war dated sling. In his opinion a post war dated rifle sling is a good alternative because (pre) war dated rifle slings are hard to find. A rifle sling without any stamps can be a commercial made sling or a sling which has been made in a Soviet satellite state (Poland, Hungary etc.). Rifle slings with a SA stamp are Finnish Mosin Nagant rifle slings.
Mosin Nagant rifles and carbines used by the Red army during the GPW (WWII) normally have the standard webbing rifle sling with the leather dog collars.
The older Mosin Nagant M1891 rifle had a thinner webbing sling than the M91/30 rifle and had also sling swivels instead of dog collars.

Hmm, could be either I suppose. Or neither too :) I've never seen one like that before, very interesting. I'll have to keep my eye out to see if it has any brothers out there....

You are having a nice collection of Mosin Nagants Jeffrey. These 2 Mosin Nagant 1891/30 rifles with the sling swivels, are they also marked with “SA” stamps?

The "SA" stamps indicate the weapons were captured by the Finns.

None of mine have the SA stamp

Nice thing about the Mosin nagants is that the prices are still quite reasonable (for most it's less the cost of a single Order Red Banner now) and ammunition is cheap and available. Firing 20 or 30 rounds without a butt pad certainly gives one renewed respect of the strength and sacrifice of the soviet soldier. I've come back from the range with my shoulder completely black and blue. It really makes you appreciate the built in muzzle brake of the SVT-40 which has almost no kick at all.
