Permanent home address of the prospective awardee and his family’s address: _______________ Short, concrete description of his feat of arms or accomplishments: On 22nd March 1945, during the fighting aimed at the expanding the bridgehead on the western bank of the Hron River, Guards Private Kucheryavy served in a mobile engineer obstacle detachment, operating on the open flanks, which were vulnerable to tank attacks. During these operations comrade Kucheryavy moved forward under heavy enemy artillery, mortar, rifle, and machine-gun fire. In broad daylight he personally planted as many as 35 antitank and approximately 65 anti-personnel mines, which helped us in successfully repelling a number of counter-attacks by enemy infantry and tanks. He deserves to be awarded the Order of Glory, 3rd Class. Subjected to heavy fire he completed 18 round trips, following which he continuously supported the ferrying of infantry, ammunition, and provisions. He deserves to be awarded the Order of Glory, 3rd Class.
