Badge "100 Years Of The Nevskij Factory Leningrad".

I've had this one for a while (got it free with something else), but I've never been able to figure out the letter superimposed over each other beneath the statue of Lenin? or what this badge is for other than celebration of 100 years of something (certainly not Lenin's B-day).
The reverse (not shown) has an LMD standard mark.
I would appreciate any thoughts.

The first is a scan, the second a photo (only to show why I don't scan anything but documents on my HP :rolleyes:).
