For the time working in the 465th Separate Auto-Transport Battalion in the position of assistant commander of the company for technical units Comrade Degtjarev, A. M. without regard for time or effort showed personal initiative in carrying out repairs and adjusting the coefficient of preparedness of the auto-park has achieved and maintained 98-100% preparedness whilst ensuring the performance of combat tasks for the carriage of ammunition and produce and other cargo to forward units. Comrade Degtjarev, A. M. for his great work in the company and battalion has received 5 thanks from the commanders of units, besides work in the company during the absence of engineers to repair and exploit machines of the battalion the work performed by Comrade Degtjarev who with this work copes well, clearly and accurately, taking active participation in the social-political life of the battalion, working as an investigator conducted in 1942 20 inquiries, which is recognised as a model by all units and subunits of the 37th Army.
Comrade Degtjarev, A. M. whilst in difficult combat situations has shown courage and valour in the preservation of material of units keeping auto-machines from the enemy. Comrade Degtjarev is meriting the Governmental award "Medal For Bravery".

In the days of battle for the liberation of Taman, in the period of preparation for the landing operation on the Kerch' Peninsula and in the subsequent days of battle in Crimea, he was given the case of organising the rear and supplying the active units of the division with all his force, knowledge and practical experience. Thanks to the correct staging of the affair of organisational-planning work in the division, personal example of selflessness, initiative and efficiency Comrade Degtjarev in preparing the conducting of the operation and in performing offensive battle, all service of the rear of the division worked clearly and cohesively to get in at the necessary moment to give practical help - achieving uninterrupted supply to the active units liberating Taman, invading and entrenching the Crimean beachhead for future victories in battle.
In battle with German Occupiers Comrade Degtjarev has been twice wounded whilst performing the tasks of the command to deliver ammunition to firing positions and was awarded the Medal "For Combat Merits".
For clear and effective leadership of the service of the rear of the division, providing the organisation of uninterrupted supply of units liberating Taman, courageously and selflessly working to ensure the Crimean operations , Guards Senior Technical Lieutenant Degtjarev, Aleksandr Mihajlovich, worthy of the Governmental Award Order "Red Star".

Despite of an incomplete auto-transport company implemented the delivery of more than 50%, servicing all prior to the division conducting combat operations and combat operations of units of the division in East Prussia which was organised clearly and uninterrupted. For 36 days of work the machines of the company did 182452 tonne/kilometres, over-fulfilling the plan by 81% for that same time matched up and restored 4 auto-machines ZIS-5, large number of spare parts and materials, performing 6 capital, 18 average and 31 routine repairs of auto-machines of the division.
Comrade Degtjarev A.M. obtained great exploitation and technical results in the work of the company, which was repeatedly noted by the front's, army's and corps' commissions on the verification of work.
Auto-Transport is kept in great technical condition, exploited correctly.
Improved 6 and and manufactured 8 instruments to repair equipment accelerating the repair process of details by 2-3 times, mastering the manufacture of materials from local resources 68 times and restoring 36 exceptionally scare details.
For skilful leadership and achieving results in the affair of exploiting the repair and maintaining the auto-park, for organising the clear performance of combat tasks of the command to supply ammunition and produce to units of the division leading the battle for East Prussia Guards Captain Degtjarev, Aleksandr Mihajlovich is worthy of the Governmental Award the Order Of The Patriotic War 2nd Class.
