English Language German Propaganda On The Eastern Front From The Channel Islands.

As propaganda was a well used tool by all sides of the war here are some examples of German propaganda offered to the English speaking occupied peoples of the Channel Islands.

Many of the stories published in the newspapers of the occupied states were not published in English anywhere else so offer a unique take on the struggle between the Axis and the Soviet Union.

Take into mind that this is just the presentation of historical documents from the collection and nothing else.

First we have The Star ("Guernsey's Oldest Newspaper") of 8th September 1942 - Stalingrad! It is of note that whilst the Soviets are being "strangled" at Stalingrad they still manage to bomb Budapest.

The Bailiwick Of Guernsey was occupied 30th June 1940 to 9th May 1945.
