This was originally awarded in this form by the Government in either late 1945 or early 1946 it evolved into the partisan star. The document for it is a large diploma which is a bit difficult to find but by no means impossible. This award was only awarded for actual partisan activity whereas the later star was awarded to members of the Partisan Union (who did not have to be combatants by any means). The earliest documents I have seen for the Star are from 1952 so this style badge must have been around for 6 or 7 years. It is a very fine piece to have in the collection and is pretty well constructed. As for prices I have seen then recently go for as little as $8 and as much as $60 so it depends where you are looking, but for a true combat partisan award you can't get much more for your money! I'll see if I can find a picture I have of this award in wear.

Here is the badge in wear. Also on offer is an early neck variation of the Order "9th September 1944" 1st Class and the Order "For People's Freedom 1941-1944" 1st Class, a Fatherland Front badge and a Soviet Order on his other side Kutuzov 1st class

Re: Badge "For People's Liberty 1941-1944".

One of my favorites. I own two of these now, but the one I let go when I disbursed my Bulgarian collection was the best as it had the early type award document. It was not intentional to part with it, the collection was so large I just lost track of some of the items. Here's some archived images of the set to Ralcho Dobrev that I once owned.
