Comrade Ekimov, since the beginning of the Patriotic War has worked as head of a radio station, thanks to the correct means of radio, attitude relating to work, always and timely provided transmission and applied coded combat instructions.
Repeatedly participating in the ongoing combat operations to fight with the remaining groups of Germans and catching the criminal element, Comrade Ekimov as head of radio station, despite of separation from the regimental command point, skilfully provided a working radio station and the last working uninterrupted, contributing to the fulfilment of the tasks.
In 1945 teaching young radioists Ekimov personally prepared 5 people.

Conclusion: Comrade Ekimov, Aleksandr Afanas'evich merits the governmental award Medal "For Combat Merits".
