Franciszek Walkowiak, French Resistance/Polish State Security

A set of documents to a 1906-born Polish Franciszek Walkowiak.
His early career is not known, there's only a note about his service in the 58th Inf. Regiment in Poznań before the war, so he either ended up in france as an ex-POW sent to work (he was probably from the area of Sosnowiec, so likely with mining experience) or went to work in the French mines on his own. Other possibility is that he left Poland with the evacuating government and ended up in France where new Polish Armed Forces in the West begun to be formed, however, didn't leave for the Great Britain with the majority of the forces and the government in Exile.
Apparently since 1940 in the resistance organisations (unfortunately, the shortcats in his ID tell me nothing), remained in france at least untill June 1946.
After his return to Poland he probably started to work with the state security (his Grunwald Badge doc has the stamp of the Ministry for the State security awards and promotions department) and later probably worked in prison, as his only document I missed was a 1961-dated "excellent prison worker" badge doc.

For a start, we have 1944-dated Organistion for the help tothe Homeland ID issued in Source, Harnes, P. de C., France and another one from 1946

Next, there's ID of the former resistance movement participant. Gives his pseudonym as "Wolny" (Free) and organisation names as FTPF, FFI, PMP and join date as 1.3.1940

Next doc is 1946-dated PPR (Polish Worker Party, the communist party that after incorporating PPS, the socialists, was renamed PZPR) french division membership ID

And finally - Grunwald Badge doc from 1947. Stamp is, as mentioned before, of the MBP. It is signed by mjr. Tadeusz Owczarek.

So far, no info from the IPN catalogue on Walkowiak (actually their last two updates probably didn't happen at all), so no closer information on his career after return to Poland (other than already mentioned). As a former partisan/conspirator with an experience abroad and probably at leas basic knowledge of French and proper political views, he likely had a warm welcome in the state security.
