Last Alexander Nevsky Order Presented to War Veteran
Don't remember if this was posted before, but I had this article in my archive and thought it was interesting.

Thanks for posting the article, that is very interesting. My question would be this: would this veteran receive a WWII era Nevsky, or a restrike from the mint?

That's an interesting question. I wonder if they saved the dies from the 40s?

Guys,
They have the dies, and it would be no problem to make a new order, but most likely they still have some genuine old unawarded orders in Gohran. Alexei |

Alexei,
Excuse my ignorance, but what is "Gohran?" Quote:

interesting
Very interesting story and nice to see that they do the same as us. There's been a spate of US WW2 vets receiving long overdue awards this past year.
Thanks! |

Re: Last Alexander Nevsky Order Presented to War Veteran
Here is his long overlooked citation.
Unfortunately no number. Also awarded an OPW2 and OPW1'85. A Ukrainian which is why the "Abroad Centre" was used.
