Re: Fake Mother-Heroine Medal

And another one (type 2) for discussion.

I do think that the star may have been changed - any opinions against / for this suspect !?

Re: Fake Mother-Heroine Medal

Jens, it looks OK - and as for the star, all I can see is that it is very shiny compared to the other one - and I don't think that is a good thing in this case.:)

Re: Title: Mother Heroine

Here's a "Mother-Heroine" certificate from my own collection. Unfortunately I only have this certificate and not the Star (Although I do have a Star in the collection). This Title was awarded to Zajnab Alanazarovoj on 17th July 1982. Does anyone have any clue as to where this name would be from? I've certainly not come across a similar name before. It's also a shame that there is not a resource for "Mother-Heroine" such as those for "Hero Or The Soviet Union" etc.. These "Titles" don't seem to demand as much interest as their name may suggest. More frequently I see the gold from the Orders being harvested for their metal content too which is rather unfortunate.

Would anyone have any photographs of a woman wearing a full Mother-Heroine set? or even more outstandingly a Mother-Heroine set AND combat awards?

Re: Title: Mother Heroine

Although not a complete nor combatant group I have found this selection being worn by "Mother-Heroine" and "Hero Of Socialist Labour" Jazgul Jagmurova, with the Lenin centenary Medal towering over the high level awards. The second image is of another "Mother-Heroine" and "Hero Of Socialist Labour" Pelageja Egorovna Sekirkina.

Re: Title: Mother Heroine

Nice thread. Thanks.

The only one I host, but nice in that the set (star, large document [too large to scan all at once, sorry], and small document are all together). I am also told that the signatures make it especially interesting. Sad that it is a broken group, though.

Re: Title: Mother Heroine

As close as I get to a relevant group (not very close, though, and sorry if this drags us off-topic). Fully documented, of course.

To bad she stopped breeding.

Zaynab Alanzarovaja suggests muslin. The first name looks a bit like Turkish to me. Could be Tartar

Re: Title: Mother Heroine

I have found someone with the same surname from Karakalpak ASSR so it could be a Karakalpak name? The Karakalpaks only made up about 1.8% of the Soviet population though.
