I. Brief description of personal feats or merits

Gefreiter VORFOLOMEEV was in the platoon for the reconnaissance since April 1943. Participated 27 times in reconnaissance operations. Multiple times he manifested courage, personal bravery and shrewdness of mind while being in combat. With sharp fire he killed 13 White Finns. He destroyed one pillbox with machine guns and one observation point of the enemy. He blew up the warehouse with enemy’s mines. In July 1943, together with Red Army Man BUDANIN, he took a prisoner.
While participating in the reconnaissance discovery mission on 25.05.1944, Gefreiter VORFOLOMEEV acted bravely and decisively; he was one of the first to rush into the enemy’s tranches. Outside the tranches he killed four White Finns. After being wounded he did not leave the battlefield. He reached the second line of tranches, where he was wounded once more. During the retreat, Gefreiter VORFOLOMEEV was wounded for the third time. Together with Red Army Man BUDANIN he captured trophies: a submachine gun “Suomi” and etc.
CONCLUSION: Deserves the awarding of the governmental award, order of “Glory 3rd class”.
