Badge "Excellent State Labour Reserves".

Hi Guys,

Here's a nice badge from 1942/3, It's only problem Is a very dirty gold wreath,

Does anyone think It would be ok to clean It . or would It be best to leave It alone ?

Cheers,

Nick. :)

Leave it as is - patina imparts character.

Awesome badge!!!! I love it.

"patina imparts character" Truer words were never spoken. :)

However, some warm, soapy water and a soft toothbrush will remove crud but not patina. (rinse, and dry in a soft towel)

Nick,

I'll go with that mild treatment if you really want to play with your badge.
