Re: tribute 7.62 X 25

PPSH is my favorite automatic weapon to fire. The Soviet stuff is just hard to jam even if you try to do it. Their weapons just work.

Shooting a PPSH full auto is just great; one of the best full auto's I have even fired. The drum clip never seems to end. Thanks Clete

Re: tribute 7.62 X 25

Just noticing this after 5+ years is a bit of a shame.

I can certainly attest to how robust Soviet/Russian arms can be. I have a 1897 Mosin-Nagant that has been through it all and is probably the best crafted weapon I have ever handled, even nearly 120 years later (Maybe it had something to do with being service by the Finnish Army but I don't know).

This being said I have a 1942 M91/30 that jammed on me. The bolt jammed like it was welded. It took the skilful touch of a Starshina Parachutist Instructor to free the bolt (in about 12 seconds flat) and it hasn't had a single issue since (Maybe it jammed as this one had been looked after by the People's Liberation Army).

A friend of mine was in Viet Nam (1968-1974) and he said one day whilst patrolling through a swamp he stumbled upon an AK-47 that he indicates must have been in the swamp for at least two years. He said he cocked it and it fired first time. That sort of quality builds legends.
