Medal "In Memory Of The Liberation Of Bulgarian Brothers".

Here is the Medal "In Memory Of The Liberation Of Bulgarian Brothers". An enigma of a Medal created to honour Russian forces that had forced autonomy for Bulgaria from the Ottoman Empire. The Medal has a portrait of the Tsar Liberator Alexander II and is dated 19th February 1878. 19th February 1878 (old calender) is the date the Treaty Of San Stefano was signed which redrew the map of the Ottoman Empire in favour of Russia from the Adriatic to Kars.

This example is well worn but it cost almost nothing (single figure), unlike some of these I have seen sell. A brass construction with style and size of contemporary Imperial Russian Medals.
