Sovvisor,
The one in the middle is a Medal by Anti-American Committee for the Support of Korea of the Chinese People's Railway. This one's for sure; The one on the right is apparently a regimental badge, probably from the so called New Fourth Army, but I am not sure; The left one looks like a variation of the Kuonmingdan Medal for Victory against Japanese agressors. Sovvisor,
If these Chinese medals are of collecting interest for you it would pay to watch German E.... There are many Chinese Medals on offer at the moment. Someone seems to be selling a whole collection. Eddie. Here is just one example of many awards on offer.

bad shot
the top badge has the year 1949 on the reverse and the one under have 1953. I think it´s peace in Korean war. The last one has no inscription.
Now comes very hard shots to take. This little badge is enameled and my flash makes the pic white but it´s a tower on a red shield and it has inscription on the reverse A and the number 26811. I´m very curious about this badge. Best

Sovvisor,
The 1949 badge with two crossed rifles is the Huai-hai Campaign Medal, issued by the General Headquarters and Political Division of the 3rd field operations of the eastern China military zone; Underneath is the Piece badge, issued by the Chinese People's consolatory Group to North Koreans; The third one is the North Korean "Korean-Chinese Friendship Medal"; Unfortunately I know nothing about the small one. two new ones
One is dated 1929 on the front and the other 1927. I have no idea what the are for. I also wonder if there are any value on them.

There are many Chinese Orders or Medals with pictures of various Generals on the front.
Here is one example. The medals or Orders are all the same design except there is a different General depicted on each one and they are either on a pentagonal suspension devise as in this version or on a rectagonal devise with a plain red ribbon. Eddie.

Eddie,
#15 - close enough, it's a Kuonmingdan Officer's School Medal, central military zone. I believe the suspension is from some other medal; #16 - The so called Zhu De Medal, issued in 1947 by Northeast Democratic United Army. Suspension is wrong; #17 - clouse enough, but actually a Fighting Hero Medal, issued by Liu Ping. I don't think this is the correct suspension; #18 - looks familiar, but need to do some more digging. Eddie,
I have a book "Illustrated Collection of Badges in the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Museum" (unfortunately only a Zerox), which is a nice reference, but very incomplete. I am also using materials of a preliminary research, done by a very advanced collector, who can read some Chinese. I believe all medals posted so far are official, though some are minor awards. As for the quality, I really don't know. Could it be that some of them were made outside China, like early Vietnamese medals, that were made in France? Post away more pieces, I'll do my best to id them. Alexei |
