Ambassadors uniform at eBay

You have most likely seen it, the ambassador uniform which is currently offered at eBay.

Is it authentic and worth its price?

It is authentic, circa 1960-1975 or so; rare white version, nice set. ASs to being worth the price, thats up to the buyer, but to me its a bit high. i would think that the set would be more in the $1250 range for a 'buy it now'.

I found this picture, an ambassador wearing a black uniform ; on this one there are shoulder boards, so why the white one has no shoulder boards? is it normal or are they missing?

The style in your photo is from 1943-1954; after this they dropped the rank boards and went with rank on collar.-DD

I can see an Order of the Red Star on the b/w photo; was it custom to wear awards on these uniforms? ... And who is the fellow on the right side in the photo?

It was up at eBay again, 650 USD start price, 1000 USD Buy-it-now. But now it's gone, so I think someone decided to buy it ;)
