A recent (to me) development on Podvig...
Heres the list of men recommended for awarding his defense of Stalingrad Medal by their superior... My guy is at the bottom. Podvig listing soldiers Campaign Medals is a really awesome feature. |

One of the coolest commendation docs I've seen awarded to Guards Private Nikolai Danilovich Glod signed by Stalingrad Party Committee Secretary I. Piksin and Chairman D. Pigalev. Note the Order of the Red Banner and Stalingrad medal with improper ribbon! Associated Budapest medal awarded to same recipient on 28 APR 46 by 61 Cannon Artillery Brigade.
