Cossack Badge "For The Defence Of Pridnestrovie".
Here's an impressive badge or order that reads "In Defense Pridnestrovie". It bears Suvorov's image and is made of four pieces. Bronze/brass and white enamel which, despite being white (an thicker than other colours) is handled very nicely and precise. The gold plating is beautiful and the whole order is nice and heavy. A very nice piece BUT, what is it? Is it a new order, or perhaps a proposal of some sort? The "nut" on the back indicates the maker to be the Probeda factory in Moscow. Anyone who may know about this piece is certainly invited to chime in.

I'd appreciate anything you can find out, Paul. For all I know, it could be a Black Sea Cossack badge for participants in that conflict.:confused:

Found another image (thanks, Frank) of the badge on a Cossack uniform. Small image-had to enhance- but it is easily distinguished as the second order from the left on the top row.
