It's curious statement because I never saw those prices, even in the Ukraine. Theses medals are not much desired, but dealers never risk to give such excessively low prices. If they'd get stuck with those medals, official prices should be logically ridiculous?
Documented pieces are scarce, because they were not widely awarded. About other republics, the medals are pretty sarce too: not a big demand, but the low offer justifies sometimes high prices asked, especially in Russia... documented sets go usually pretty high. The awarded numbers often fall below the first thousand.
