"WORKERS CLUB" - proposal for new section
Gentlemen,
the hughe factories in former CCCP had all very large and well equipped "Workers Clubs". These institutions were a brilliant mixture of pub/english club/cultural & ecucational society and were a comfortable place for drinking 2 or 3 glasses of vodka and chat a little bit just after work has finished. My proposal is to establish a new section with the name "WORKERS CLUB", where we can discuss all the things, which are not so 100 % affiliated to Soviet awards and maybe not so sober & serious - birthday greetings, Dave Schwind sails away, Miss Umalatova's activities, Supreme Soviet, Speeches of Stalin & Churchill, Music & Stalin, drinking habits of Stalin ..... The Nazi-collector's forum has a similar - and very popular - section, which is named "DIE KNEIPE", what is the germanic equivialent of a british pub. Of course, our "WORKERS CLUB" should never get to this infernal low and politically obscure oriented level of "DIE KNEIPE". What's your opinion about this? Regards from Vienna |

I think this is a good idea. This would be an excellent way to separate posts of interest to collectors and Soviet-era historians from those engaging in political discussions that most of us don't come here for. I'll leave it at that.

Doug,
I think you misunderstand, this is a light hearted area and not for serious political discussion. Happy hunting. Thanks,Al |

Perfectly right, Al
Politics yes, but only in the field of jokes, light entertainment, curiosity or some "authentic" relevations someone found somewhere. Also to present some interesting movies, books or websites about the country and the age we are collecting the awards.
Due to the "Internationalism" of Art's forum, such a "WORKERS CLUB" will help to keep the balance between the different world views and will also have a certain "outlet"-function in a light hearted way. Regards from Vienna |

"WORKERS CLUB"
Zulu if you conduct yourself by expounding your "Commie" and Anti-American propaganda like you did on the Wehrmacht Awards Forum you will turn this forum into a Communist oriented and political stage to voice your disgusting theories of how great the failed Soviet political system was. I for one heard enough from you after you barged in the Wehrmacht Forum spouting off and insulting the membership. I have been collecting Soviet Military orders, medals and other decorations for a while now, and enjoy discussing the heroic deeds of the many Soviet warriors of W.W.II, but to have to put up with your form of political indoctrination would keep me from visiting the "WORKER'S CLUB".
