Has anyone ever seen one of these for sale?!

Perhaps I haven't give it any attention I guess! Probably given the fact it's one of those "obscures" new Russian Federation awards and also the fact it really looks like a fantasy piece indeed, IMHO!

I am happy that you appreciate this point. The only reason I posted the pic is because it is the only photo I have seen where a veteran is wearing this order. I thought other forum members would want to see it too.

This picture came from an online version of Red Star newspaper, the official news source of Russia's Defence Ministry.

Unfortunately, I don't have a higher resolution pic, but I do have a pic of Guards Colonel Losik which is also worth seeing. This man is 90 now and still sharp. He fought Finnish War. During GPW, his tank was the first one to enter my home town Minsk in 1944. In 1969, while commanding Far Eastern Military District, he gave the order to deploy multiple rocket launchers to destroy Chinese troops that were ready to invade Soviet territory.

I'm just seeing your pics and posts today, and I regret not seeing them before (my fault, as your post was "seen" for my PC), as they are very good and informative. I'm not sure many members of the Forum have already seen this Order in wear, before.

http://award.adm.gov.ru/ is the official RF government site that contains statutes and depictions of all awards. The site is regularly updated when new orders or medals are introduced.
