As for Order of merit to people, I already tryed to buy one, they are very cheap but again it's hard to find them in a case of issue (I like to buy awards in original cases of issue, they look better together with the case). And the documents are also almost imposible to find... God only knows why!?

Order for merit to people 3. class costs around 10 dolars, and first class with low serial number costs about 40 dolars, but as I said, they are without cases and docs.

Cased ones and together with docs are much rarer and the price is much higher...

Here is the 1st Class Order of Merit for People.
On the Order of the First Class only the five rays and the central figure are silver.

Yugoslavian Order of merit to people 3. class

Hello guys, what do you think about this yugoslavian order of merit to people. It is numbered 3562 and a little higher is a roman number II. Could it be a fake? These orders were awarded more then 100 000+. Is it just a luck to find a piece with such a low serial number, or is it a fake?

Im not aware of any jugoslavian fakes, but you guys probably know more about this subject than me...

Thanks for replies and any help,

Mark

2nd award ?

Could this be a 2nd award, thus explaining the number II ?
Have the 2nd award be a practice in Yugoslavian orders ?
Just an idea...

Do you have a pic of the reverse ? It could help...

Hi! this is the most common of all communist yougolsavian orders. And the 100000 statistics is huge for such a little country. So the risk is low, and fellow collectors told me there were not faking for this type of piece.
The roman numeral indicates well the 2nd class. The screw plate could bear mint marking such as "Ikom Zagreb".
William who is better than me in this field should confirm this soon? ;)

Now I'm really confused... This is a 2. class order and the box and the small ribbon is for the 3. class?

This is written on the box: "sa srebrnim zvezdom", which means "with silver star"...

Unfortunately, I don't have the pics of reverse, because I don't have the order yet, I was thinking of buyin it. The seller has it. I already asked him for a picture of the reverse, but he replyed that the picture would be to bad- taken with scanner...

Which one is then the 3. class award, the order with silver rays or the order with silver star? Do they actualy both have silver star?

I forgot to tell you, that the order has a needle on the reverse, so it's probably from the ZIN factory if I'm not mistaken...

Does anybody have a ZIN made order of merit to people, so we can check out what is written on the reverse on orders of this type?

Here I found some pics of orders of merit to people, and the 3.class seems different on pictures. On one picture there is a golden partisan with flag in the centre of the order, but on the second award there is a golden star on the 3. class? What is wrong here?

Here are the 3 classes of this order.

Your pic is not so clear, but it seems to be the 2nd Class... even if the ribbon is the one of the 3rd Class...

But would it be possible there have been several types ? You can see here what seems to be a different 3rd Class type on this miniature... that looks in all points similar to your order. But the golden areas are not the same as on the 3rd Class posted in the previous post...

That's really strange. Let's wait for the opinions of the more experienced collectors...

But it seems like there were 2 types of class 3 award...
