Here's the documents to a group of badges I picked up about 3 years ago for $1. Awarded to a Gunars Rudolfovich Burkans between 1973 and 1982. A Machinist-Excavator of Vecumnieki PMK-2.

These first three documents are for his Badge ''Champion Of The Socialist Competition Of 1973'', Badge ''Shock-Worker Of The Ninth Five Year Plan'' and Badge ''Shock-Worker Of The Tenth Five Year Plan''.

Here is his Badge ''Shock-Worker Of The Eleventh Five Year Plan'' and his Mandate for the 15th Congress of the Bauska District Organisation of the Communist Party Of Latvia.

Cheers! I have some of these "Shock-worker" badge documents that are still blank, including at least a couple for the final five year plan. There do seem to be quite a few blank documents floating around from the last 10 years of Soviet power, but a blank document doesn't tell you much of a story. If someone wants I can scan them in the next time I drag them out.

The Udarnik 10th, 11th and 12th Five-year Plans don't seem to come up very often recently whereas the previous ones still do.

It would be interesting to know whether less of these were awarded.

Ya know, I'm torn between early versus later-issued documents. The earlier ones often exhibited some really nice calligraphy when filling in names, dates and whatnot, and that's pretty cool. But the later ones are often typewritten or printed clearly and that fact makes it a lot easier for me to decipher.
We have good examples of both in this thread and I can't decide which I like better.
