Commemorative Medal "For Bulgarian Liberty".

Here is a Commemorative Medal "For Bulgarian Liberty".

On one side celebrating "Apostle For Bulgarian Liberty" Vasil Levski and on the other "Fighter For Bulgarian Liberty" Hristo Botev.

It is unknown just who awarded this or when but it is very frequently misattributed to various Macedonian Revolutionary groups of the turn of the 20th century but as it was produced in Kalofer (absolute centre of Bulgaria) and attributed to an artist that is extremely unlikely.

This being said it may well have been issued by a more mainstream political body around the turn of the 20th century.
