Re: Fake Orders for Service to the Motherland
Well for me the edges of the wing's reverse look a little strange, but I am not sure wether that's normal.

Yes, I noticed. But according to Marc such a variation does exist. (Post 69)

Greetings all,
I just purchased this example. I would like to get your opinions. There is a small amount of paint missing at the top of the left rocket. Cheers, Will |

Anybody seen this before? The order looks original but what about the engraving on the nut and the reverse of the order?

I read "copy" as well but what about the order itself? It looks authentic. But if this is so, why would anybody engrave it with "copy"?

Maybe it is made from non-precious metals or just a try-out from the mint. I can't see any reason someone would engrave "copy" onto an original, unless someone believed it to be a copy but it ain't. |

Re: Fake Orders for Service to the Motherland
Thanks again! In that case I think the most logical explanation is that the mint produced it either as try out (as you said) or for use in a movie, theater etc or for display in a museum or something.
