18-04-1945 was giving communication from the forward command post of the 32nd Guards Rifle Corps in Senftenberg to the forward command post of the 13th Guards Rifle Division in Reppist.
Enemy artillery-mortar fire often violated the lines of communications. Under enemy fire Stefantsev inspired by his own example other fighters removing 7 breaks in the lines of communications and thereby provided uninterrupted work.
20-04-1945 was giving communication from the forward command post of the 32nd Guards Rifle Corps in Klettwitz to the forward command post of the 97th Guards Rifle Division in Schipkau in conditions of wooded areas, where wondered German groups of submachinegunners artillery fire had broken the lines. Stefantsov under enemy fire repaired 4 breaks in the lines providing uninterrupted work.
