Marc, in my brief check on the Mondvor website, I didn't see anything indicating that. All of the last ones that were not awarded in the 1940s for whatever reason, were aluminum based with an oxidized metal for color (if I am reading the Russian correctly).

Maybe I am misunderstanding your question?

Phillip

Almost, only small misunderstanding. Aluminium is about kolodka (suspension). Medal itself -cooper :cheers. I guess you can classify the last version as voenkomat one

Re: Fake Medals for Valiant and Distinguished Labor

Phillip, I think you don't misunderstanding my question, you explained that there is the possibility of an oxidized aliminium that can be confusious, but ph3s you think that can be possible that a voenkomat version exist...
I think it so, but I've never seen one before. If somebody have it please put some photos. Thanks Gents!

Re: Fake Medals for Valiant and Distinguished Labor

There are no oxidized aluminum medals. There are no cooper, or copper for that matter, medals.(why is copper so popular lately???) There are only silver. (Fakes, of course, are a different story.)
I can see a "variant 5" that was issued last that would probably turn up most often at the local voenkomats. Maybe that's what the OP wants???

I meant the last version v 4 can be considered as voenkomat, same techniques used the ear is neither soldered nor trimmed.

Guys,

It seems to me that there may be some misunderstanding here. Marc asked about the Medal for Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War, which happens to be made in copper. So, indeed, this medal can be found as a voenkomat version, but for whatever reason, it happens to be one of the scarcest ones in that later type.
