Honorary British Knighthoods Bestowed on Red Army Officers During World War II

Gents,

Guards HSU General of the Army A. A. Getman seen wearing his KBE neck decoration as a pinback. Note, too, its associated breast star (lowest star in center row on right breast).

CBE

Gents,

Maj Gen Chalenko, CG of the 15th Guards Cavalry Division, 7th Guards Cavalry Corps opted for a unique mounting for his CBE neck decoration. It incorporates the CBE's original ribbon into his pinback rework. Note, too, his two screwback RSFSR Orders of the Red Banner which were awarded during the Russian Civil War when he was an enlisted cavalryman.

Gents,

Two nice images of Col Gen Malinin at aforementioned ceremony. In first image note once again the British tanks in the background as well as Malinin's boot spurs.
In the second image, note Malinin's KBE neck decoration.

OBE/MBE

Gents,

An OBE or MBE awarded to naval aviation Maj Gen M. A. Kurochkin, Commander of the Northern Fleet's Air Defense. Note his Orders of Ushakov and Nakhimov. This is a later image of the same person depicted in post #10 above.

I suspect that actually wearing the foreign neck orders around the neck would have seemed too Imperial, too much a throwback to the Tsarist era. Ans since there were no Soviet neck awards, it also might have been viewed as disrespectful to wear a foreign award above the medal bar with Soviet awards. The foreign awards in the photos do all seem to be positioned beneath the Soviet awards.
