Securitat Major?

At a local auction, I picked up this uniform for what I believe is a Romanian Securitate major. Thought you may be interested to have a look.

I was there to pick up the accompanying parade dagger for one of my sons, which I also won, but didn't notice the peaked cap which was in a job lot elsewhere.

It seems this was a collector's estate sale, and there were several boxes of soviet hats, a batch of uniforms, and so on. It I had the money and space...

It's not really my area of interest to be honest, so this was a speculative bid, which cost me £40. This seems cheap to me. I may list on the marketplace in due course if there is any interest.

£40 is reasonable enough. I'd be happy to pay £50 for it.

Sometimes folks don't know what they have or where things are that they do want. One super interested person at a militaria auction makes for very cheap prices.
