Tokarev TT Pistol.

I'm curious: does anyone know what it would cost to buy a Tokarev TT of actual Soviet manufacture (instead of other Eastbloc) stateside? Are they easy to find? Inexpensive?

It would be cool to one day have some of those weapons of the SA in the GPW.

^^ Agreed on the Gunbroker suggestion. There are a number of Polish and Romanian TT-33s out there, but they have been modified with a safety switch added. I personally own a Czech VZ52 pistol (which also shoots the 7.62x25 round) and find it to be a hand cannon, haha.

One TT-33 I am hoping to buy from a friend one of these days is a Chicom version, captured in Vietnam. It has the holster, ammo pouches, three magazines, the leather shoulder sling/belt set up, cleaning rod, and capture pieces. Hard to beat this setup from a collecting standpoint.

Re: Tokarev TT pistol...

Just for members interest here is mine. With me being in the UK it is deactivated. All matching serial numbers and dated 1939.

Deactivated exaples in the UK cost between £150 and £200 complete with holster, spare mag and cleaning rod.

Cheers, Ade.

Re: Tokarev TT pistol...

Make sure it's all matching and the safety has not been added. Also I've seen quite a few that are polished. This is not original. It should be blued.

Re: Tokarev TT pistol...

I recently saw one with the "Circle 11" with date 1953 on the top of the slide and no star on the grip. I think this may be Polish manufacture instead of Soviet? Does anyone know given this scant info?

Re: Tokarev TT pistol...

Is it worth picking up in terms of quality? What would you consider ballpark fair if serial numbers match and there are no mags/holster/cleaning rod? Just the shootin' iron.

Re: Tokarev TT pistol...

A pristine all matching & original TT will fetch right around $800

I basic shooter will run you about $400.

Re: Tokarev TT pistol...

How about a Polish Radom '53 version with matching serial numbers but no extra kit with it? Just a shooter?
