Man, that is an nice set of daggers/bayonets (I even recognize a couple) and nothing to be less than proud of. I see you employed the same method I did in places with my dagger (i.e. but the suspension loop).

And as for yours, Eric - wow, and I don't mean just the way they are displayed because I like the idea of putting whatever bits of the owner's uniform in the case with it and having the blades drawn (the one I have has extensive beautiful etching on the blade and should be displayed as such. I suppose if I do something like you did and keep a desiccant pack or two inside that should take care of the humidity problem). I am most impressed by the variety of daggers from what looks like many different departments and many different time periods.

Keep on posting your displays. I am always looking for new and better idea. I'll try to take some pictures of the latest ones I've put together and post them later.

Phillip

Yeah, I'd really like to see more of Eric's dagger collection as it's awesome!
I miss my navy dagger...stolen, along with my nickle plated Walther PP and a sweet Ruger .357.

This is all my collection of daggers.
However, here is the latest interesting display of my Railroad / Metro collection:
- The document Shock Worker of the Moscow Maliy Theater for active participation in building Metro (1935) + Invitation to receive the Badge "Shock Worker / Udarnik Kaganovich Walk" (1935) + the RARE badge it self. What is interesting, the documents and the badge belong to a woman Shilovtseva Natalya Pavlovna. She was wife of famous Russian composer Muradeli.

Hello tretov your collection is very cool! May i ask if the metals and badges stay firmly attached to your set up? Also this photo is old im sure your collection is much bigger by now.

They stay very firm since the medals are attached with their own pinback attachment devices and the screwbacks go through the board and attach with the screwplate on the back. The photo is over a year old but not very many medals has been added, mostly because they're so hard to get (too much fakes). I still need... (within what decent money can buy)

- Combat cooperation (brotherhood in arms)
- Non-black soil
- Bravery in fire
- Ushakov and Nachimov medals as originals

Here's the mostly-current display I made for the anniversary medals; victory in the GPW and Armed Force's jubilee.

And here's what it looked like a few years back. Some of the awards have gone into hiding in binders and some have moved to other displays.: http://soviet-awards.com/forum/sovie...html#post54421

I should try and Photoshop a side by side image.

As promised.

Been a while since I fooled around with the ye olde photoshoppe™

I wish it were, boyo.

It's a filler until I hit the lottery.
I bought this almost exactly five years ago along with a fake Partisan2 for $10 each.
I think I got a good Budapest and Vienna, and probably a Stalingrad and Leningrad for the same price.

Nice gongs, Eric!
Paul might remember when he dropped by for a visit some years back and took a peek at my small collection. I certainly remember him dinging that RKKA 20(or was it the Partisan2?) against my dining room table edge and saying 'Ya hear that? That ain't right, it's a copy.' I also remember those two mirror reverse ORBs he showed me. I was, like, schwiiiing!

Ah, the good old days.
