Glory II,31312,Sapper,125th Rifle Regiment,6th Rifle Division

Offered on ebay. The citation looks Russian, with the state seal. Is this a legit and official research?

"Order of Glory, 2nd Class, serial number 31312, awarded to Private Ivan Kalamurza of the 125th Infantry Regiment, 6th Infantry Division. It was awarded to Kalamurza for an action on 17 Feb 1945, when, while under shell fire, he destroyed nine anti-tank mines in a road, thereby clearing the way for the Soviet advance."

Tal,

These are Archival Inquiries done by the Russian Federation archives.

I guess if you ask about particular person - that's the type of research you would get back.

It looks like they looked up the recepients perconal files and copied the citations.

I can't comment on the authenticity of these papers.

Guys,

These forms were the type of research that you received from the archives in the early to mid-1990s. You do not get these forms any more. The way I understand it, the researcher issued this official document to cover his butt incase he was caught, as this is the form sent to families if they request information about a relatives award.

You now get photocopies of the complete citation and no official letter.

Let me know if I can add more,
Ed Maier
