Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
Comrade Burov has been on the frontlines of the Patriotic War since 1943. He has been in the regiment since the assault on the borders of East Prussia since 6.10.44. During this time he repeatedly proved himself a bold and brave warrior. While penetrating the enemy defense on 6.10.44 near Kalnui, Burov captured three Hitlerites and with grenades killed two Germans in a forward trenchline. While conducting a reconnaissance forward of the infantry formations on 23.10.44 west of Villyunen, a group of scouts encountered heavy enemy resistance which resulted in extremely heavy fire from all types of weapon systems. With a shout of “Hurrah” Burov rushed into the attack, encouraging all the soldiers to follow. The enemy resistance was broken and they were pursued further than two kilometers. Regrouping their forces, the Germans went into a counterattack. While repelling the counterattack with accurate fire he killed three Hitlerites.
He is deserving of the Order of Glory III Class.
