Comrade Degtjarev, A. M. whilst in difficult combat situations has shown courage and valour in the preservation of material of units keeping auto-machines from the enemy. Thanks to the correct staging of the affair of organisational-planning work in the division, personal example of selflessness, initiative and efficiency Comrade Degtjarev in preparing the conducting of the operation and in performing offensive battle, all service of the rear of the division worked clearly and cohesively to get in at the necessary moment to give practical help - achieving uninterrupted supply to the active units liberating Taman, invading and entrenching the Crimean beachhead for future victories in battle. In battle with German Occupiers Comrade Degtjarev has been twice wounded whilst performing the tasks of the command to deliver ammunition to firing positions and was awarded the Medal "For Combat Merits". For clear and effective leadership of the service of the rear of the division, providing the organisation of uninterrupted supply of units liberating Taman, courageously and selflessly working to ensure the Crimean operations , Guards Senior Technical Lieutenant Degtjarev, Aleksandr Mihajlovich, worthy of the Governmental Award Order "Red Star". 3rd December 1943 Deputy Commander 2nd Guards Red Banner Taman Rifle Division For The Rear Guards Major
