wel, over here in the UK in two weeks is the massive Beltring War and Peace show which claims to be the largest militaria fair in the world. I have been for about the past four years and can quite honestly say that it would take some beating to top this event. There are several Soviet dealers (mostly from Russia) who are going and last year there were some real rarities for sale.
Also (a bit off topic) there is a whole host of other militaria subjects with a strong emphisis on British and Third Reich stuff. Be there or be circular!

The show is held in Beltring, Kent. Nearest train is Paddock Wood. It is held on a massive hop farm for the Thursday to the Sunday. Well worth a visit. You will not regret it.

Do you have to be a member to attend the show?
Thanks, Rusty.

The show has 'open public' visiting on Saturday. Being a member and registering ($100 registration fee) allows you to get into the show early (Thursday and Friday) take part in the seminars, as well as the Friday morning breakfast and Saturday evening banquet. Even though I'm an OMSA member, I won't be getting to the show till Friday evening, and with my wife and toddler daughter in tow, I won't be attending the Saturday evening banquet. Thus, I don't plan on registering and will only be going into the show during the public hours on Saturday (the difference between $8 admission and the $100 registration fee!) --Dave By the way, here is the schedule of events for the show: WEDNESDAY AUGUST 13TH Early Registration 4pm - 6pm Exhibit Hall Foyer THURSDAY AUGUST 14TH Registration Open s 8am - 5pm Exhibit Hall Foyer Bourse/Exhibits Open 9am - 6pm Exhibit Hall OMSA Board Meeting 3pm - 6pm Executive Board Room Welcome - No host bar-lite snacks 6pm - 8pm Quincey's - 1st Floor Foreign Seminars 8pm 10pm Ballroom D, E & F A German Medal Group-What It Tells and Hides ..... Yolkin and I are thinking of flying in for the Saturday show...
How many members are planning on attending? Do you want to meet up for some drinks & shoot the breeze? Thanks, Rusty.
