An interesting group (only documents) to a civilian worker of the Newspaper of the 46 Army, that shows the problem that military administration had with civil workers.

The booklet also states that he did not participate in the war, had no wounds or contusions and no state awards, however....
... on 21 september 1945 he received his VoG medal, as civil worker. the document is signed by Chief of the political department of the 46 Army col. Markow. |

Re: Tsvirkunnko, Grigorij Yefimovich, typesetter, 46Army newspaper
Then on 13 March 1946 he was awarded "Capture of Budapest" medal. signed by Chief of the Personnel Department of the 28 Army, col. Gorokhov, meaning, that he still worked for the Soviet Army.
On 17 January 1947 he got his "For Capture of Vienna" medal. Also signed by Gorokhov, but this time it states, that he was a private (likely an error). Apparently his work with the army continued untill february 1948, when he was issued his military ID. On 18 february 1966 he got his 20th anniversary of victory medal, the doc is signed by the president of the executive committee of the regional council of workers' deputees of Krasnozavodsk, Zherebnov. |

Re: Tsvirkunnko, Grigorij Efimovich, Typesetter, 46th Army Newspaper
In april 1970 he received Lenin's 100th anniversary medal, issued by the executive committee of the Komintern Regional Council of Worker's Deputees of Kharkov.
And on 10 March 1976 he was awarded 30 years of Victory medal, participant version. Instead of rank it says "Serviceman of the Soviet Army" Issued by Krasnozavodsk RVK of Kharkov podvignaroda, as ussual, clarifies things a bit - he was awarded the CSM: "Civilian typesetter of the typography of the Army Newspaper "Hero of the Homeland" Cvirkunenko Grigorij Yefimovich has been working for the redaction for over 2 years. In this time, he has shown himself as exceptionally dedicated to the cause and highly qualified typography worker. Working as Metranpazh [something like a senior typesetter] he fights for the in-time publication of the newspaper, securing its publication in any conditions [in] combat and marching situation. Especially selflessly comrade Tsvirkunenko worked in the days of fights for Budapest and in Austria." Last edited by Al-muell; 03-24-2017 at 09:18 AM. |
