those are patches for warrant officers (Fähnrich). BTW, nice tunics! :thumbsup I don´t like DDR awards and militaria that much, but their uniforms still kept that classic and attractive prussian touch. And I think the "wings" of the airforce uniform is wrong. The one your uniform has is for infantry.

I'm not much on DDR stuff either (even Stasi - believe it or not guys ;)), but I have to give them credit for eye-catching and practical (4-pocket) uniforms.

Here is mine. I want to get a dark collar tunic next year... and a size 58 hat (if anybody wants a size 60, this is it).
