Interesting back

Most I see of these are brass. Is this galvanized steel? If so, way cool.

Ribbon bar

Hi,

what do you think about this ribbon bar? The bands are wraped with plastic.

best regards and thanks
Andreas

Re: Ribbon bar

Looks normal enough, but is a bit heavy on the awards. It could be put together given the type of ribbon used, but I'd guess from the backside that it's probably real. Still, I see a ton of these, and most are from people below the award stratosphere. I don't often see so many higher awards in one rack.

I did find yesterday the first one I've seen in my neck of the woods with a Service Motherland III ribbon, but the rest of it was pretty routine.

Re: Ribbon bar

The bar is made up; don't spend any big money on that one. The combination of awards with TWICE October Revolution (Brezhnev and maybe one or two other people got that) plus the Motherland I (requires II and III classes, which are missing) and the long service medals but still war veteran...and no annversary medals 1938/48-1988 but still 1982 "1500 Kiev" medal. No no no.:thumbsdown:thumbsdown:thumbsdown

Re: Ribbon bar

I agree. Moreover, it is visible from the back that the ribbons bands have been re-attached together.

Re: Ribbon bar

Thanks,

a few of these ribbon bars were sold on german e.... for around 35 Euro.

The only Marshall with two October Revolution I could find was Brezhnev.

best regards
Andreas

Ribbon ID help?

Does someone recognize the middle ribbon on the bottom row of this, somewhat out of order bar?
I've checked the Czech, Bulgarian, Albanian, Hungarian and Romanian charts but can't find it.
Spasiba in advance! :D
