Laureate Of The State Prize In The Fields Of Science And Technology.

Russian Federation State Prize Medal in the Field of Science and Technology

One of the transitional awards, issued for just a short time after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Note the Communist hammer and sickle emblem on the obverse, and the name of the republic referred to as RSFSR - Russian Soviet Federative Union Republic. Suspension device features the red white and blue colors of traditional Russian flag as opposed to either red Soviet ribbon or the red and blue flag of the Russian Federative Republic within the USSR.
