Gentlemen,

An associate of mine here in the USA was set up at the recent OVMS Show of Shows in Louisville, KY.

During the course of the show, he had displayed quite a few pieces, along with an Order of Lenin - № 40541.

This piece was stolen at some point during the show by an unidentified thief.

I duly request that if any member knows of, obtains, or is offered the piece to kindly contact me here via PM.

It is a pity that such dishonorable acts infect our hobby that is supposed to be enjoyable and educational.

It is always shockingly unpleasant to be the victim of theft, especially of something you really care about. Frankly, you never completely get over it.

Since I'm beginning my hunt for a low-end (price-wise) Lenin, I've marked down the serial number in case I get any offers from someone with it.

Pursuant to Rule 32.2(3), the United States further requests that it be empowered to
seize the substitute property and/or otherwise ensure its availability for forfeiture and to
immediately commence the ancillary proceedings required to finalize the forfeiture of the
substitute property. Additionally, the United States requests authorization to enter the above
locations to effect the seizure.

Pursuant to Rule 32.2(3), at sentencing, or at any time before sentencing if the defendant consents, the preliminary order of forfeiture becomes final as to the defendant and must be made a part of the sentence and be included in the judgement.

Was there any indication of the crime that allowed for the seizure of all of these items? Usually, when property is seized or "forfeited" it is because is was acquired as a direct result of the commission of a crime or criminal activity (e.g. houses, cars, boats, etc. purchased with money made from selling illegal narcotics).
