Here is Aslan Oskanovich Markarov's Medal "For Labour Distinction" Booklet dating from 9th October 1973 for the Ukaz of 6th September 1973.
The Ukaz of 6th September 1973 is for early completion of the Socialist Competition of 1973 in the field of livestock of the Ministry Of Agriculture.

He certainly looks like a stockman to me.
