Short description of personal combat feat or service

In combat from 13 through 20 July 1943, Cormade Podogov maintained continuous communications with the command post commander and battalion commander, thus permitting the tank commander the best situational awareness on the battlefield. His radio operated continuously throughout all the fighting. He observed shell impact and corrected fire.
On 13 July 1943 near the village of Staritsa the crew destroyed two tanks, two field guns, an armored vehicle, two motorcycles, and as many as 20 enemy soldiers and officers.
Comrade Podogov is deserving of the Order of the Red Star.
