I really don't know what to think of this one.
It was quite ceap (like standard navy senior officer's one).
It has the label with date 1959 (it may be 1969, but it looks more like 5), but the crown is as big as those from 80., but the crown's frame seems to be the part of the white cover (???), not the crown itself. Than there is this visor (like admiral's), but the inside does not seem to differ from standard enlisted/officer.
In addition there's no trace of any badge (and I think that even a cloth badge should leave a trace when removed).
Any ideas? a mix of parts? a theatre/film costume?

btw, the buttons look old, but i cannot read the date (should be there, but I don't want to remove them and without that it's impossible).

Couldn't it be a merchant navy summer cap?

Al,
It looks like a summer or tropical version of a Riverine Fleet Ship Captains hat.
White was traditionally worn by those serving in the Black, Azov and Caspian Sea areas.
The one below is described as an offwhite colour.

The maker label looks like it belongs to the "Red Warrior" factory which produced many caps during the late forties and fifties. Thing is, it looks too new to have come form the 1950s to me. It may just be the picture but it is not unknown to have genuine labels sewn into fake caps.

Of course, it can be merchant navy/, but I have never heard of them heving this kind of motif on visor (non-metal).
It is possible that this label has been atached in present times (I mentioned that the crown doesn't look like from 50.), but as I said the frame, making the crown look so big, is a part of the removable cover, not the crown itself, so any datation based on the srown size doesn't seem to be very effective.
