Are you implying these are still being made and sold as originals?

I'll also add to the discussion that these were probably awarded to not just Czechs, but also other nationalities at a minimum Soviets.

Hi Paul,

No evidence of that at the moment, an inquiry was made to the mint about this badge, after a few days the reply came, about 1,6 mill various badges were made around that time period including this one and that during the research at the mint they found the original dies.

You mean they made 1.6 MILLION of these badges? How many Czech partisans could there be?!

He wanted to say that factory Mincovna Kremnica is still operating today and not that they are making these badges now. There were 24000 of these partisan badges made. The number 1.6mil goes for all the badges that factory made, not only these partisan badges.

OK, 1.6M was the total number of all the badges the factory produced. I thought the 24K only applied to serial numbered ones.

So a final question, if we know 24K Partisan badges were produced, any idea how many of those were serial-numbered?

Not a great deal of additional info right now sorry :(

Here is Karel Hlasny wearing his decoration though, so at least we know where it was worn.
